Practical guidance for the studios and tools that ship in JTDesigner today. See the Studios hub for what each Studio does, or the blog for step-by-step guides.
Getting Started
- Create an account to open the dashboard.
- Choose any Studio: Design, Animation, Whiteboard, Video, Presentation, Spreadsheet or Word.
- Projects save locally. Export .jtproject to move work between devices.
Design Studio
- Add text, shapes, images and SVG from the tools panel.
- Use layers and properties to position and style elements.
- Open in Animation or Video when you are ready to add motion or media.
Animation Studio
- Select elements and apply presets or keyframes on the timeline.
- Use scenes to structure longer sequences.
- Preview playback, then export WebM or supported MP4.
Whiteboard Studio
- Draw with pen, marker, highlight and eraser tools.
- Add shapes and text, then animate stroke drawing.
- Keep strokes editable — they are not rasterized when opening Video.
Video Studio
- Import images, video and audio into the media library.
- Arrange scenes, clips and audio on the timeline.
- Apply Brand Kit styles explicitly when you want brand colors and fonts.
Templates & Brand Kit
- Browse templates from Create or the Templates library.
- Brand Kits store colors, fonts and logos locally.
- Applying a brand requires an explicit action so custom styling is not overwritten silently.
Export & project files
- Still frames export as PNG, JPG or SVG (1× Free; 2×/3× Pro).
- Motion projects export as WebM/MP4 at 720p on Free; 1080p+ and advanced video options require Pro.
- Presentations export to PPTX and PDF. Spreadsheets to XLSX/CSV. Documents to DOCX/TXT — included on Free and Pro.
- Import and export .jtproject portable project files across all Studios.
Keyboard Shortcuts
- Ctrl/Cmd+S save · Ctrl/Cmd+Z undo · Space play/pause · Ctrl/Cmd+K command palette · ? shortcuts help · F focus mode.
- Shortcuts ignore typing fields so text editing stays safe.
Troubleshooting
- If a project did not save, use recovery when prompted after reload.
- Large media should be trimmed; unsupported codecs may block export — try WebM.
- Clear cached preferences in Settings without deleting projects.
